Why do you need Branding Session for Your Business? | Branding

Many people ask “Why do I need Branding Photos?” Well the bottomline, to tell your brand’s story!

As a small business owner, we spend much of our time selling our products and services, but people really want to know the person behind the business. Yes, that person is YOU!

I know as a photographer it isn’t easy to be on the other side of the camera, to put yourself out there and show up. Plus, in today’s world many people don’t want to share about their families and personal life. Well, through brand photos you can share yourself and your business without sharing your personal life, and people still feel the connection!

Your brand session can represent both you and your product or service. We incorporate the WHY behind the business. The products or services you sell. How they will benefit someone on the other end. And I want to make sure we create emotion to capture your audience.

As a photographer, I want to capture imagery for you to use throughout website, on social media and for any other marketing you may need it for including print products and business cards.

We want to create emotion to capture your audience and to tell your story.

Brand photoshoots allow you to create your brand story through imagery and tell your story to your audience when sharing on social media.

Some of my favorite things to to include are mugs, note pads, pens and pencils, books, your products, computer, phone, planning supplies, and anything that you use on a daily basis. Not to mention your actual product our service that you sell through your business.

My passion for brand’s is seen throughout my portraits as I capture your small business. I want to be your cheerleader and watch your business grow through imagery that creates emotion and captures your audience!

my 3 baby must-haves with our 3rd? | Personal

I knew with our third, he would have to be an on the go baby. We came home from the hospital in January and 3 days later Texas had an ice storm, so I was thrown into 3 kiddos all home very quickly. Thankfully my husband works from home so I did have extra hands, but those first few days of snuggles and laying in bed all day didn’t quite happen.

We also did not have a full nursery in our house which is fine since he slept in a bassinet in our room until about 2 months. Plus, let’s be honest it’s survival mode for the first little bit and sleep at any time is appreciated. I did have a few of my favorite things that kept me sane during the first few weeks plus I still use on the regular. Some of these I used with our second as well.

  1. Boba Baby Wrap

This swaddle has been my life safer! I wore Shepherd 90% of the time, and still use this some days. He LOVES to be worn and will fall right to sleep when he is in the wrap. I found this easier and more comfortable to wear around the house. I wore it when I had my weekly bible study and he’d sleep in it. He preferred this over sleeping in his carseat stroller.

2. Night Light

This was the perfect night light for diaper changes and feedings. I set it by the changing table or chair where I fed him and it has various settings to help with those middle of the night feeds. I do have the Hatch as well, but this simple light allowed you to turn it on and off without changing the sound. I also took it to the hospital to use. It is chargeable and can be used without the plug. You can grab it and go from one room to the next!

3. Portable Sound Machine

The best sound machine! I have people daily asking me what the noise is. I slept with this in the hospital and we take it on the go everywhere with us. He also uses it at nap time since he naps in a different room from the crib currently. It lasts for hours!

6 Tools to Build Your Photography Business | Education

Whether you are a new photographer or you have been in business for 10+ years, it is important to have tools that help you run your business smoothly! From a CRM (client relationship management) to your marketing tools and website, there are various options to choose from and these tools have helped me run my business from early on.

17Hats

I invested in a CRM in the first year or two of my business and it is life changing. From tracking business income and expenses including taxes to contracts and invoices. Your CRM allows you to track your client from inquiry through gallery delivery. 17Hats creates a lead capture form that is submitted through my website and once a client is booked creates a workflow to track every step along the way. I can run a Profit and Loss report as well as Sales Tax report to help with business finances. They also have added a booking feature to ease client booking and photographer availability.

There are several CRM options to choose from, but 17Hats continues to help me streamline my business! If you are interested in trying 17Hats, click the link below to receive a one-time 50% off.

Squarespace

A website host is one of the first places to start as you begin your photography business. I invested in SquareSpace and gave myself time to learn how to build out a website. It can be as simple as a small portfolio, about me page and contact form to begin with, but you want to eventually include copy and words to help with your SEO. This allows clients to find you on google and other search platforms. I invested in Ashlyn Writes: Copy Writing for Creatives to learn how to create copy for myself, and expand my website to drive my ideal client. There are many creatives that offer copy and website design services, but I wanted to be able to update my website easily when needed.

Pic-Time

  1. I have used several gallery hosts and Pic-time provides a clean client facing presentation. They offer print products through a variety of vendor and a simple set up to begin selling products to your clients. Pic-time offer automated sales workflows and great customer support. I also love that I can archive past galleries and they do not automatically get deleted.

Later

Later is the tool I used to schedule out all of my social media posts. As times change so does social media. It can be overwhelming to keep up with all the things. Each week I set aside time to create my posts for the week or month and schedule them out strategically. You can create both static posts and stories all from your computer or phone app. Have 5 minutes while in the carpool line? This app allows me write captions, move posts and select the date and time. Later allows you to either automatically post or send me a reminder to post at my convenience.

CANVA

Canva is the best tool for all things marketing! Canva allows me to create pdfs, instagram marketing tools or what to wear guides for clients. You can use Canva to create just about anything for your business. There are templates that can be utilized or you can choose to start from scratch to create your own document for your business! Canva has thousands of graphics, templates, photos and more to help you create professional looking marketing tools for your business!
