While many essential workers are putting their families at risk right now, others of us our spending more time with our families. Creating memories, learning new routines, and saying yes to extra snuggles throughout the day. We will never get this time back, and sometimes it is hard to soak it all in during the hard days. My hope is too look back on how wonderful the slowness, extra family time, and daily walks were for my mama heart.

This sweet family braved the cold to sneak in their family session this Fall! I loved getting some boy mom advice and watching these two brothers play together at the end of our session. Little brother definitely wanted to keep up with his big brother!

Extended families. We spend more time with our families than we realize. These past 3 weeks have been hard for a number of reasons, but to keep distance from grandparents has been one of the hardest things for our little guy. He wants to go play at Papa and Yaya’s or asks when Bear and Honeygram are coming to visit. We look forward to the day that we can hug our parent’s necks again!

I loved photographing this extended family this Fall. They made the session fun, even through the chilly Fall weather. Each little one was such a trooper in the cold! These portraits are extra special these days!
