I met Miss Harper at her hospital session just 24 hours after she arrived! Her big brother was excited to show her Mickey Mouse and all his toys plus love on her a little bit too. I hadn’t met this sweet family before, but they are a talented design duo! They have Hadley Designs with the most precious calendars, invitations, prints, and more! Even the cute “Hello” name tag Miss Harper is wearing was designed by Mama! These precious moments at the hospital are long, hard, exhausting, but well worth capturing!

Are you expecting? Have you thought about having someone come to the hospital to capture those first few moments? If you are interest in more information, I would love to send you details! Send me your information here.

Real. Raw. Fresh. Vulnerable.

When I think of a Fresh 48 session, these words pop in my head. When you invite a photographer into your hospital room, you are in a real situation. You are opening up to capturing those first few hours adjusting to your new baby. The new cries, learning to feed, and all the adjustments for a mama as she is in a vulnerable state trying to heal. Oh and did I mention, you are already running on little sleep? These are special moments for any family at any stage of growth whether it is your first born or third. It’s the memories you get to look back on as you welcome that little baby!

This family has my heart! They have been with me since the beginning, and I have captured both of their girls in various stages: maternity, newborn, and fresh 48! I loved getting to be there when Isabelle got to meet her baby sister, Savannah, for the first time! She wasn't quite sure what to think, but warmed up pretty well. She even decided she wanted to hold her for just a minute. However, she was more interested in her little princess gift and looking from afar.

I can only imagine how overwhelming it is for a little one walking into a hospital room. Seeing all the things. Mama in a big bed with buttons and cords. But these are precious moments to remember and I am always so honored to be there to capture them!

I love that this sweet mama has beautiful prints of her family all over her house. She has shared pictures of them hanging and I was able to admire them all for their newborn session with Savannah! It is a joy to see your photos hanging!
